Visitors with confirmed Covid-19 infection or compatible symptoms should defer non-urgent in-person visitation until they meet CDC criteria for healthcare settings to end isolation. For visitors who had close contact with someone with Covid-19 infection, it is safest to defer non-urgent in person visitation until 10 days after their close contact if they meet criteria described in CDC healthcare guidance (e.g., cannot wear source control)

We want to inform you that we have received confirmation that some staff members and several residents at Samaritan has tested positive for COVID-19. All staff that tested positive have been taken off work to quarantine. Residents that tested positive have been placed on our isolation unit. Our isolation unit is sealed off from the rest of the facility and has dedicated staff to work that unit.
Resident safety is our top priority. We are doing everything we can to ensure we stop the spread of COVID-19 within our facility including staying in close communication with local and state health officials to ensure we are taking all appropriate steps.

Mitigation strategies: We will continue to update policies, procedures and educate staff per CDC guidelines. We have a dedicated isolation unit for residents who show symptoms of COVID-19 or those that are admitted with or test positive for COVID-19. At this time, we have adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We will continue to conduct rounds to assure PPE is used properly and we will continue to follow the “No Visitor” Executive Order guidelines. To Our Residents and Family Members:
We want to inform you that we have received confirmation that a staff member at Samaritan has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee was working on our isolation unit with residents who are recovering from COVID-19. Our isolation unit is sealed off from the rest of the facility and has dedicated staff that work on that unit. Resident safety is our top priority. We are doing everything we can to ensure we stop the spread of COVID-19 within our Advantage Living Samaritan facility including staying in very close communication with local and state health officials to ensure we are taking all appropriate steps.
Designated staff members will be calling our residents representatives/ guardians for updates on the status of your loved one as well as the facility. We also understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important to our residents. Family members are encouraged to connect with their loved ones through Facetime, Skype, calling, texting or other social media formats.
We want you to know that we are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of infection. We know that you may have questions and we encourage you to contact our center at 313-344-4100.
